Dr. Liliam Oliveira is a post-doctoral fellow in Formulation Division at the Centre for Drug Research and Development. She has experience in development and characterization of drug delivery systems, specifically, nanoemulsions, polymeric nanoparticles and self-emulsifying systems. During her Masters and PhD program, she worked with the development and validation of analytical and bioanalytical methods to quantify drugs and with pharmacokinetics and distribution studies.
Liliam obtained the PhD in biological science at Federal University of Ouro Preto (Brazil), where she developed self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system trying to improve the anti-trypanosoma cruzi efficacy of benznidazole. She was post-doctoral fellow at Inserm U1046, Montpellier, France, where she evaluated the cytotoxicity and cardiotoxicity of drugs.
Her goal as member of CDRD team is to expand her knowledge in formulations development.
