Commercially-promising early-stage technologies within academia and Canadian life sciences companies are proactively and strategically identified and evaluated by CDRD’s Therapeutic Taskforces and experienced project search team and evaluation scientists across Canada.
These Taskforces are strategically focused on oncology (including immunotherapy/immunology), anti-infectives (developing novel approaches to address multi-drug resistance), regenerative medicine/fibrosis, and neuroscience; but CDRD will opportunistically support projects in any area given they meet the fundamental CDRD project criteria:
- A highly-engaged academic collaborator
- Excellent, innovative science – novel approaches that address unmet medical needs
- A clear technology development and commercial path – critical scientific experiments & commercialization steps (e.g. the building of a solid IP position) can be defined.
