9:00 – 10:00 “Autophagy and Neurodegeneration”, Dr. David Rubinsztein, FMedSci FRS, the Deputy Director of the Cambridge Institute of Medical Research (CIMR), the Academic Lead of the Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) Cambridge Drug Discovery Institute, and Professor of Molecular Neurogenetics at the University of Cambridge.
12:00 – 1:00 “Autophagy and Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Cancer”, Dr. Kay Macleod, PhD, Associate Professor, The Ben May Department for Cancer Research, UCCCC, Committee on Cancer Biology, Committee on Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition, Committee on Developmental Biology, The University of Chicago.

**All abstracts selected for oral and poster presentation will be published in an abstract booklet and given to registrants at the Symposium. Two scientific poster sessions will be held during the day. The author for correspondence or presenting author of accepted abstracts must register for the Symposium.
