The search is on for our next President and CEO!
Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, The Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) is the only national drug development and commercialization engine providing the expertise and infrastructure to transform basic health research in academic institutions, as well as early-stage therapeutic technologies in Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises, into commercialized products improving human health. In doing so, CDRD is actively growing Canada’s national health sciences industry into a wholly-optimized generator of economic prosperity for the country.
Created in 2008, CDRD provides investigators with access to 40,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and expertise.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO provides leadership to the organization’s over 100 employees. The CEO will work with the Board, staff and stakeholders to develop a new strategic plan, set priorities, and develop strong relationships with industry, academia, and government to position CDRD for success.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in the business, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, technology, or innovation sectors, who brings demonstrated credibility with commercialization. Armed with strong operational leadership skills, the new CEO will bring superior relationship skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for advancing CDRD’s mission.
This is a unique opportunity to provide strong and effective leadership in a dynamic sector that will bring economic and social benefits to Canada.
