Dr. Roberge is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UBC. He is a leader in the development of cell-based assays and the discovery of small molecules that modulate the cell cycle. He is co-discoverer with R. Andersen of HTI-286, an anti-tubulin agent in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of cancer. He is a co-founder of the Canadian Chemical Biology Network and is currently Chair of the National Cancer Institute of Canada “Experimental therapeutics, medicinal chemistry and drug development” grant review panel. He was editor of the bookCell Cycle Regulators as Therapeutic Targets. He has authored over 60 publications and is an inventor on 6 patents.
