Kim Flock

Dr. Flock completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Western Ontario under Dr. Gary Shaw studying the structure and protein-protein interactions of a neuronal calcium-binding protein.  During her studies, Kim was involved with a number of science outreach initiatives including Let's Talk Science.  Following graduation, Kim worked for a Biotechnology start-up in Montreal first as a Medical Writer and then as the Director of Pharmacogenetics.  Kim then joined Baylis Medical Company as a Patent Associate where she drafted applications for cardiology and pain management devices.  Subsequently, she took a position as a Scientific Consultant at Lang Michener LLP in Toronto assessing pharmaceutical patents and liaising with technical clients.  Kim was previously the Instructor for an undergraduate Histology course at the University of Western Ontario, and most recently served as the Education Manager at STEMCELL Technologies.
