Genome BC is pleased to present Richard Resnick as the 2016 Don Rix Distinguished Keynote speaker. Attend this event to hear Resnick speak about The Genomic Revolution and its Impact on Human Kind: A whirlwind journey through homo sapiens’ deepening understanding of the genome and its dizzying applications in medicine, agriculture and society.
Resnick is on the front lines of the business of genomes, as CEO of GenomeQuest, a maker of genomic software. Under his direction the company has solidified their leadership position in the intellectual property and agriculture markets and he has led its expansion into healthcare. Resnick has extensive experience building and growing innovative technology companies in life sciences.
Previous positions include leading GenomeQuest products and services operations. He was also the CEO of Mosaic Bioinformatics, which was sold to NetGenics. Prior to Mosaic, Resnick was the global bioinformatics software head for Wyeth, and was a member of the Human Genome Project at MIT.
This dynamic speaker is sure to deliver a captivating and informative keynote address! After the talk, there will be a Q&A session with the audience followed by light refreshments. This event is free of charge but seating is limited and will reach capacity. Early registration is recommended.
